Woman Reports Suspicious Activity At Wells Fargo ATM

On August 19, 2011 at 9:38 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to 1 East Westfield Ave (Wells Fargo drive-thru ATM) on a report of a suspicious incident. On arrival, the police spoke with the complainant who stated that while she was attempting to withdraw funds from her debit account she observed a male approaching her vehicle through her rear-view mirror. The complainant stated that when she first entered the drive-thru, she observed two males walking eastbound on the sidewalk of East Westfield Avenue. The complainant described the first male as a 5′ 3″ Hispanic male wearing a dark baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and baggy blue jean shorts. The second male was described as a 5′ 6″ male wearing a white t-shirt and the same style shorts as the first male. After pulling up to the ATM, the complainant stated that the first male began to approach her vehicle. The complainant became fearful that this party may rob her and she left the area and contacted police. The complainant stated that the second male continued walking eastbound on East Westfield Avenue and she did not see which direction the first male went.
