It was announced today by the Roselle Park Republican Municipal Committee (RPRMC) that they have endorsed William A. Fahoury as their candidate for Roselle Park’s Third Ward Councilman.
Born and raised in Roselle Park, William served active duty for four years in the United States Marine Corps earning the rank of Corporal. William was in the infantry with the 3rd Battalion 6th Marine Regiment and while serving with his unit he was deployed to Afghanistan, Japan, and the Philippines.
William earned an Associates Degree at Union County College and, while there, he was accredited with the President’s Honors List for academic achievement. He was recently awarded a three-year Academic Scholarship at Seton Hall where he will be attending the University in the fall.
William said in a statement, “I thank the Roselle Park Republican committee for their faith in my council candidacy. I look forward to meeting the residents of the third ward and listening to the concerns about issues important to them and Roselle Park.”
Mr. Fahoury is filling the vacancy left when current Third Ward Councilman Ryan Kelly announced that he would not be seeking re-election. He will be running against Democratic candidate Kevin Kolbeck.
The election will be held on Tuesday, November 8th.
