The Where Angels Play Foundation will be holding a Cocktail Party & Cigar Night Fundraiser at The Castle, located at 147 West Westfield Avenue from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
The foundation, which is undertaking the Sandy Ground Project, is a part of the New Jersey Firemen’s Benevolent Association (NJFMBA).
As a productive measure in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and to address the need to build playgrounds along the coast of three states (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut) affected by Superstorm Sandy, the Sandy Ground Project has as its goal to build 26 playgrounds in honor and remembrance of the 26 innocent women and children killed on December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut.
For example, the groundbreaking for a park in the name and memory of Lauren Rousseau will be on Friday, May 9th at 10 a.m. in Long Beach Island, NJ with a ribbon cutting on May 11th at 11 in the morning.
Noted attendees at the fundraiser on May 13th will include New Jersey Assemblywoman Annette Quijano and New Jersey Assemblyman Joseph Cryan. The price of admission includes a buffet, appetizers, cigars, and whiskey & wine tasting.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person ($60 at the door) and there are sponsorships available at $260 for a Table Sponsor and $2,600 for an Event Sponsor. Tickets can be purchased online on their fundraiser page (link).
