Washington State Man Arrested For CDS

On December 5, 2010 at 3:01 p.m., while on patrol, Patrolman Matthew Disano observed a vehicle with both driver and passenger not wearing their seatbelts. A check of the vehicles registration yielded the registered owner to have an expired New Jersey Driver’s License.

A motor vehicle stop on the 10 block of East Grant Avenue resulted in the driver, identified as Steven Williams, age 49, of Tacoma, Washington admitting to driving with a suspended driver’s license. Williams was also found to be in possession of approximately ⅛ of an ounce of marijuana.

Williams was charged with 2C:35-10(a)4 (possession of marijuana) and motor vehicle summonses for 39:3-76.2F (failure to wear seatbelt), 39:3-40 (suspended driver), and 39:4-49.1 (possession of CDS in a motor vehicle). Williams was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of December 16, 2010.
