Roselle Park will be honoring the men and women who served our nation in the five military branches at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Veterans Day, November 11th, in front of the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library.
While Memorial Day honors those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country, Veterans Day salutes and recognizes those who served in the military and have returned to civilian life.
Third Ward Councilman and Marine Corps Corporal William Fahoury, an Afghanistan War veteran, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony.
Free refreshments will be served at the library after the service.
The Casano Community Center will provide free bus service to Roselle Park senior citizens. Residents must call the day before to arrange for transportation.
Anyone seeking more information can contact Casano Center Director Rupen Shah at (908) 245-0666.
The Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library is located at 404 Chestnut Street.
