On March 3, 2011 at about 7:57 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to the 400 block of Sheridan Avenue on a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim stated that sometime during the night an unknown party broke into his vehicle and stole the vehicle’s factory radio/navigation unit. He stated that he parked his vehicle in his driveway at about 9 p.m. on March 2, 2011 and noticed the missing radio/navigation unit at about 7 a.m. on March 3, 2011.
Police observed no damage or forced entry to the vehicle but damage to the dashboard which appeared to have been forced open.
The victim was unsure of the value of the navigation unit but estimated the value at about $3,000.
The vehicle is described as a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
