On March 14, 2011, Patrolman James Kompany responded to the 500 block of Oak Street for a break in to an automobile. The victim parked her 2003 Saturn in her driveway at 6 p.m. on March 13, 2011. When she returned to her automobile at 8 a.m. on March 14, 2011, she discovered it had been burglarized. There were no signs of forced entry. Door locks and window moldings were intact. The victim believes that she locked her doors but was not certain. A Sirius Satellite Radio and a Tom-Tom GPS unit were stolen from the automobile. The total value stolen is approximately $250. Other damage was to the area underneath the steering column. This compartment was torn out in order to dislodge the satellite radio. A check of the area did not reveal any additional vehicles burglarized.
