Vegetative waste pick-up started on April 3, 2014 in the borough and will continue until the end of the year, dependent on the fall/winter weather.
On the east side of town, vegetative pick-up will be every Thursday. The west side will have their vegetative waste picked up every Friday. All vegetative waste should be put out the night before.
Vegetative waste is categorized as tomato plants, grass, leaves, weed, and branches. Special attention should be paid to the setting out of branches as they will have to be tied in bundles and more than four feet in length.
All other vegetative waste is to be disposed of in biodegradable bags or 32-gallon containers with handles only.
