Unclear Plates Violation End In Arrest For Irvington Man

On April 3, 2011, at approximately 12:43 a.m., in the area of West Westfield Avenue at Roosevelt Street, Patrolman Richard Gaylord observed a brown Chevrolet in violation of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Statute 39:3-33 (unclear plates). A motor vehicle stop on West Westfield Avenue at Grove Street resulted in the discovery of a small plastic bag containing suspected marijuana.

The driver, Ibn Waller, age 28 of Irvington, NJ, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana), and motor vehicle summonses for 39:3-33 (unclear plates) and 39:4-49.1 (CDS in motor vehicle).

Mr. Waller was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date on April 14, 2011.
