On February 8, 2011 at approximately 2:27 a.m., on East Westfield Avenue, Patrolman Richard Gaylord observed a white Honda Accord in violation of New Jersey Motor Vehicle statute 39:4-88(b) (failure to maintain lane). A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of one (1) plastic straw with CDS residue; two (2) oxycodone pills; one (1) white paper fold containing suspected marijuana; and one (1) small empty clear plastic Ziplock bag. Jose Rexach, age 41, of Roselle and Amor Fleming-Young, age 25, of Roselle were placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia).
Rexach was also given motor vehicle summonses 39:4-88(b) (failure to maintain lane) and 39:4-49.1 (CDS in motor vehicle). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of February 17, 2011. Fleming-Young also had an additional outstanding warrant out of Marlboro Township for $1,000. She was unable to post and Marlboro Police took custody of her.
