Two Arrested With Over $3,000 In Counterfeit Money According To Police

Last Thursday, September 27th, at 11:31 p.m., Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) Officer John Fitzgerald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2000 Toyota along East Westfield Avenue for a moving violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop the driver – identified as Edward Akuoko, age 30 – and passenger – identified as Kazinga I. Lowe – both from Newark, were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, possession of over $3,000 in counterfeit currency, and drug paraphernalia.

Both were arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s., possession of counterfeit currency, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were issued a summons and released with a Union County Superior Court date. The driver was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to signal, possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle, and failure to exhibit a driver’s license & insurance card.
