Two Arrested On Jerome Street For Marijuana Possession

On April 7, 2011 at approximately 3:24 p.m. in the area of Jerome Street, Patrolman Joshua Medrano observed a white Nissan parked on the 100 block of Jerome Street occupied by two (2) males for over 20 minutes. Upon conducting a check of the vehicle, the driver, Kevin Paco, age 24 of Roselle Park, and the passenger, Jose Cruz, age 18 of Kenilworth, were found to be in possession of one (1) round metal cylinder with a clear cover with suspected marijuana residue in the metal cylinder, seven (7) partially smoked hand rolled cigars containing suspected marijuana, and one (1) blunt roll wrap – “Coffee” flavor.

Mr. Paco and Mr. Cruz were placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia). Mr. Paco also received a motor vehicle summons for 39:4-49.1 (CDS in motor vehicle). Both were released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date on April 14, 2011.
