A freight train derailment between the Union Township train station by Kean University and Roselle Park this afternoon is currently impacting traffic in the surrounding area, including Roselle Park.
According to reports, around eight (8) cars of an over 100-car freight derailed. The contents of freight were not made public at this time.
Additionally, traffic may be impacted throughout the weekend as construction equipment and material travels through the area.
