Traffic Violation Stop Results In Arrest For Hindering Apprehension

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 27th, Patrolman Kevin Florczak arrested Joseph Angeles for hindering apprehension and for outstanding criminal warrants issued by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department. Patrolman Florczak had stopped a 1993 Plymouth van for traffic violations on East Westfield Avenue. During the roadside investigation, Patrolman Florczak interviewed the passenger, who identified himself as Jose Angeles with a date of birth of June 13, 1977. A brief investigation revealed the passenger’s true name to be Joseph Angeles with a date of birth of June 13, 1978. Angeles was placed under arrest and processed at RPPD then released into the custody of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department. Angeles has an appearance pending in the Roselle Park Municipal Court. The driver was released without charges.
