On Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Patrolman Nicholas Vaughan observed in the area of the 200 block of West Westfield Avenue a silver Mitsubishi Outlander and conducted a traffic stop on Grant Avenue at Sheridan Avenue for 39:4-67 (obstructing passage of other vehicles).
An investigation led to the discovery of two small ziploc bags of suspected CDS marijuana. The driver, William Wilkins, age 43, of Elizabeth, NJ was placed under arrest.
Wilkins was charged with 2C:35-10(a)4 (possession of CDS), 39:4-67 (obstructing passage of other vehicles), and 39:4-49.1 (possession of CDS in a motor vehicle). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court first appearance court date of November 4, 2010.
