Traffic Stop In Roselle Leads To CDS Arrest

On January 22, 2011 at 4:14 p.m. on West Lincoln Avenue at Faitoute Avenue Patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a Ford traveling at a high rate of speed in violation of 39:4-98. A motor vehicle stop on East First Avenue at Amsterdam Avenue in Roselle led to the discovery of a clear zip-lock bag containing suspected marijuana.

William LaMorte Jr., age 20, of West Berlin, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana); 39:4-98 (speeding) and 39:4-49.1 (possession of CDS in a MV). He was released pending a Roselle Parl Municipal Court date of January 27, 2011.
