On Sunday, May 1, 2011 at approximately 3:05 p.m. on the 500 block of West Westfield Avenue, Patrolman Joshua Medrano and Patrolman Micthell White observed a gray Cadillac traveling eastbound on West Westfield Avenue in violation of 39:3-75 (tinted windows). A motor vehicle stop at First Avenue and Floral Street in Roselle resulted in the discovery of one (1) Dutch Master brand cigar, one (1) clear plastic cylinder containing suspected marijuana, and one (1) medium-size clear Ziplock containing eight (8) smaller Ziplock bags, three (3) of which were clear in color and contained suspected cocaine, three (3) of which were blue in color and contained suspected cocaine, and two (2) of which were green in color and contained suspected marijuana.
The driver, Tremayne Davis, age 35 of Irvington, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(1) (possession of cocaine); 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana); 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia); 39:3-75 (tinted windows) and 39:4-49.1 (CDS in a motor vehicle). Mr. Davis was released pending a Union County Superior Court date of May 12, 2011.
