On March 23, 2011 at 3:21 p.m., Patrolman Joshua Medrano observed a vehicle traveling westbound on East Westfield Avenue in violation of 39:3-75 (tinted windows) and 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps). A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of one (1) sandwich Ziplock bag containing suspected marijuana residue.
The driver, a 17 year old juvenile from Roselle, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia)
He was later released to a parent pending a Family Court date. He was also issued summonses for 39:3-75 (tinted windows) and 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps).
