Tinted Window Violation Ends In Arrest

On March 15, 2011 at 5:55 p.m., Patrolman Joshua Medrano observed a green Honda traveling northbound on Chestnut Street in violation of 39:3-75 (tinted windows). A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of three (3) partially smoked hand rolled cigars containing suspected marijuana.

The driver, Patrice L. Reliford, age 26 of Newark, NJ and the passenger, Aisha Barr, age 24 of Irvington, NJ were placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia). Additionally, Reliford was issued a motor vehicle summons for 39:3-75. Both were released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of March 17, 2011.
