Teenager In Serious But Stable Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle

On Tuesday, January 23rd, at approximately 5:28 p.m., Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) officers responded to the intersection of Beechwood Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that was struck with reported injuries.

An investigation revealed that a 2013 Ford that was operated by a 59-year-old male from Roselle Park was traveling southbound on Beechwood Avenue when it struck a 16-year-old female Roselle Park resident who was crossing the roadway. Union County EMS responded and the teenager was transported to University Hospital for evaluation.

Her injuries are reported to be serious but she is currently reported in stable condition.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Roselle Park Police Traffic Unit and Detective Bureau.
