Yesterday, a 16-year-oldĀ Roselle Park resident reported that at around 9:37 a.m.he was walking in the area of West Clay Avenue at Hawthorne Street when he was stopped by an individual driving a gold Chevy Impala. The driver of the vehicle was described as a heavy-set, black male, with short black hair (no facial hair), approximately in his late 20s to 30s. Once stopped, the driver allegedly had a brief conversation with the juvenile that was sexually explicit in nature and tried to entice him into the vehicle. The juvenile quickly walked away in the opposite direction and the driver quickly drove away eastbound on West Clay Avenue.
Video surveillance in the area has revealed the suspect’s vehicle to be a 2000-2005 gold, 4-door, Chevy Impala with black molding. It is missing its driver’s side front and rear hub caps.
