On July 2, 2011 at about 2:50 p.m., Patrolman Kevin Florczak conducted a motor vehicle stop on a green Honda in response to its occupants loitering in a suspicious manner outside of an East Westfield Avenue convenience store.
An investigation revealed the passenger, Charles Washington III, age 20 of Piscataway, was in possession of a small clear plastic Ziplock bag containing suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Washington was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia) and released pending future Roselle Park Municipal Court date of July 14, 2011.
The driver was released from the scene.
