On Wednesday, October 1st, 2014, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a pedestrian stop on two (2) individuals who were reportedly observed walking from the rear, wooded area of a closed business on the 200 block of West Westfield Avenue.
The males were identified as Charles Greco, age 33, from Roselle Park and Christopher Robinson, age 48, from Roselle. Mr. Greco was found to have outstanding warrants out of Union Township, Roselle, and Roselle Park.
Mr. Robinson had an outstanding warrant out of Roselle Park.
Before the police were able to effectuate an arrest, Mr. Robinson fled on foot back into the wooded area behind the local business. Patrolman Macdonald and other units assisted but were unable to locate Robinson.
During the foot pursuit, Mr. Greco walked away from the area but was later stopped by officers, where – according to police – Mr. Greco resisted arrest and assaulted officers before being placed under arrest. Mr. Greco was lodged into the Union Count Jail on $25,000 bail.
Christopher Robinson is still wanted by Roselle Park Police for Resisting Arrest and Hindering his Apprehension, along with the active warrant issued by the Roselle Park Municipal Court.
