The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is asking for assistance in their investigation of an armed robbery of the Burger King located on West Westfield Avenue on October 28, 2011 at 8:50 p.m.
A male wearing a light grey sweatpants and sweatshirt with a hood pulled around his face walked up to the counter. When the employee came to ask what he wanted, he pulled out a black handgun. The actor then proceeded to jump over the counter and grab the one employee and forced the employee as well as another worker and a manager into a back office. The actor then forced the manager to open the safe.
After getting the cash, the actor tied up the employees and exited through the back door.
At this time, the actor’s description is that he is a Black or Hispanic male wearing a light grey sweatshirt, baggy sweatpants, black gloves, and black shoes. He also appeared to be wearing clear glasses. He is about 6 ft. tall with a stocky build. The handgun is described as a black or brown small caliber handgun.
