Suspect & Person Of Interest Sought In Night Time Burglary

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is asking the public for assistance with a suspect – along with a person of interest – regarding a burglary of China Royal, located on West Westfield Avenue on October 24th.

Tuesday night, at around 11 o ‘clock at night, a male suspect was recorded on a security video walking in front of China Royal on 115 West Westfield Avenue. The suspect was seen walking into the alley next to the business and making several attempts to kick in a side door. The suspect was eventually successful and forcibly entered the business. The suspect then exited the business and appeared to have been carrying a cash register waking away out the alley.

According to police, this same male suspect was also observed several minutes before in the parking lot of another business, McDonald’s, with a unknown female in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male adult wearing a sweat shirt, jeans, and multicolored running shoes. The female is considered a person of interest and is described as white with dark hair  operating a small newer model 4-door vehicle.
