Summerfest’s Arts Cafe Returns

Performing on August 29, at 6:30p.m., guitarist Paul Desilva will accompany Roselle Park’s Poet Laureate Leona M Seufert as she reads selections of her poetry. Coffee and cookies will be available and the event is free.

Paul Desilva, a Roselle Park resident, has been playing guitar since the age of eight. He plays instrumentals with a classical and Spanish feel but he is versed in many other styles. Paul stated, “I’m basically a singer songwriter/guitarist who is on a musical quest and not trying to limit myself.”

Leona M Seufert, Roselle Park’s first Poet Laureate, is active in the arts in the borough. She has read her poems at the annual 9/11 memorial service and has given writing workshops as well as readings at the Roselle Park Library and Casano Community Center. Seufert has published two poetry chapbooks.

SummerFest’s goal is to publicize town events and make Roselle Park a destination for summer fun.
