Stop On Sheridan Avenue Results In CDS Arrest

On Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at approximately 9:34 p.m., Patrolman Richard Gaylord observed a red Suzuki SUV failing to signal a turn and roll through the intersection of Madison Avenue. A motor vehicle stop on Sheridan Avenue at Grant Avenue resulted in the discovery of a small partially smoked, warm, hand rolled cigar containing suspected marijuana.

The driver, Robert Belles, age 19, of Roselle Park was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and motor vehicle summonses for 39:4-126 (failure to signal), 4-144 (failure to stop), 3-29c (failure to exhibit documents), and 4-49.1 (CDS in motor vehicle). Belles was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of February 17, 2011.
