On March 19, 2011 at about 11:35 a.m., in the area of 700 block of Galloping Hill Road, Patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a blue Chevy traveling southbound on Galloping Hill Road at a high rate of speed in violation of 39:4-98 (speeding 50 MPH in a 25 MPH). A motor vehicle stop on Galloping Hill Road at Madison Avenue resulted in the discovery of one (1) clear plastic bag which contained a small plastic knot containing a white powder – suspected cocaine.
The driver, Stewart Herrera-Perdomo, age 23 of Elizabeth, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(1) (possession of cocaine). He was also issued traffic summons for 39:4-98 (speeding) and released pending a Superior Court date of March 30, 2011.
