At the November 20th Board Of Education (BOE) meeting, 18 Sherman Elementary School students were recognized for having scored the highest level in the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) standardized tests.
Sherman School principal Tara Lechner presented students from the third and fourth grades with their Certificates of Recognition.
PARCC is comprised of a Mathematics and a Language Arts Literacy arts section.
Two (2) third-grade students were recognized for exceeding expectations on PARCC Language Arts Literacy 2018:

Fourth-grader Noah Siffert was among seven (7) Sherman School students who exceeded expectations on the Language Arts Literacy section of PARCC.
Sadie Lavache, Lillian Perez, Sofia Rodriguez, and Sidney Smith scored a level 5 in PARCC Mathemetics.
Two fourth-graders from Sherman School, Aidan Ponzio and Javien Ruiz scored Level 5 in both Language Arts Literacy and Mathematics of the PARCC assessment.
