On April 22, 2011 at 9 a.m., Patrolmen Joshua Medrano and Mitchell White observed a Nissan traveling eastbound on West Westfield Avenue in violation of 39:3-76.2(f) (seatbelt) and 39:3-74 (view obstruction).
A motor vehicle stop of the Nissan resulted in the discovery of a partially smoked hand rolled cigar containing suspected marijuana and a small clear Ziplock bag containing residue of suspected marijuana.
The driver, Michael Gardner, age 25 of Roselle, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana); 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia); 39:3-76.2(f) (seatbelt); and 39:3-74 (view obstruction). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of May 5, 2011.
