On November 8, 2011, a 40-year-old female reported a male attempted to grab her on Berwyn Street and Westfield Avenue about an hour prior to contacting police. Roselle Park Police responded and filed a report that a thin black male, about 6′, wearing dark sweatshirt and blue jeans, with a shaved head, on a mountain bicycle approached the victim, attempted to grab her, and yelled sexual remarks.
A search of the area was unsuccessful in locating a suspect. Surrounding towns were notified. Police are actively investigating this incident and checking for possible security video in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call Roselle Park Police at (908) 245-2300.
