Ryan Kelly To Run For 3rd Ward Council

24-year-old Ryan Kelly will be running as the Republican candidate for the 3rd ward council seat which was vacated by Tanya Torres who announced earlier in the year that she would not be running for a second term. Councilwoman Torres’ name was on the ballot for the Primary Election in order to hold the line until an actual candidate could be named.

“This election isn’t about me,” stated the lifelong Roselle Park resident when reached for comment,”This election is about Roselle Park. This election is about what direction the town wants to go. What do we do well? What do we need to improve? If you’re not moving forward you’re moving backwards.”

The Roselle Park High School graduate also commented that he wants to improve communication, improve community service, and bring fresh ideas as a member of the governing body.

As yet, there is no word who, if anyone, will run for the fourth ward in place of Modesto Miranda who has stated he will not run for another term.

The general election for third and fourth ward council seats will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
