RPVM Library To Hold ‘The Gift Of Words’ Workshop

Poet and artist Leona M. Seufert will present the workshop “The Gift of Words” on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial (RPVM) Library.

The workshop, which is free, will show how words can be used to create unique gifts. Ms. Seufert will demonstrate how to create personalized gifts that range from the usually thought of way to use words – such as writing a poem – to executing other novel ideas such as writing endearing phrases on a gift box.

Leona Seufert, a 25 year resident of Roselle Park, has read her poems at the annual September 11th memorial service and has given writing workshops and readings at the Roselle Park Library and Casano Community Center and other venues throughout the Metropolitan area. She has published two (2) poetry chapbooks, her most recent “The Memory Keeper’s Promise – Reflecting on Loss and Remembrance” is a vehicle to raise funds to find a cure for cancer. Included are also the poems that she read at each of the Roselle Park 9/11 memorial services. Her first chapbook, “From Here To There And Back Again, A Commuter’s Journey”, was published in 2007 and is a witty, insightful collection of poems she wrote about her daily commute into New York City over a 12 month period.

The RPVM Library is located at 404 Chestnut Street and anyone interested can contact Ms. Seuffert at (908) 241-5874.
