Roselle Park School District (RPSD) schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 7th due to significant snowfall. This action follows the state of emergency issued by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy at 1:40 this afternoon and a Winter Storm Warning issued for the area.
This will be the second of three snow days used this school year.
Drivers should remain off of the roads during the state of emergency which is to go into effect starting 8 p.m. tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, this snowfall – with a projected accumulation of at least five (5) to 10 inches – is expected to be heaviest between tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening.
Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is also advising residents and drivers that snow accumulation of two inches or more requires that vehicles be moved from posted snow streets.
