RPPD Invites Residents To Join Them For June 4th T2T Tower Climb

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) will be taking part in the 2017 Tunnel to Towers (T2T) Tower Climb NYC fundraiser in four months.

This year, the RPPD is inviting residents and friends to make the climb or help raise money for the fundraiser benefiting Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation.

The event is set for Sunday, June 4, 2017, at One World Observatory at One World Trade Center in Manhattan.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was started to honor the memory of the New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.

The Foundation supports America’s first responders and service members including “Building for America’s Bravest”, a program that constructs specially adapted smart homes for injured service members. In 2015, the Foundation also raised over one million dollars to fully pay off the mortgages for the families of slain NYPD Officers Wenjian Liu and Luis Ramos.

Anyone with questions about Team RPPD or anyone interested in joining the climb on June 4th can contact Lt. Manuel Jimenez at (908) 245-2300.
