RPPD Investigating Reported BB Gun Shooting At Two Teens

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) is investigating an incident involving an alleged shooting of BB pellets at two (2) juvenile males – ages 16 and 17 – from a moving car.

On Tuesday evening, September 1st, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the victims stated that a black BMW with tinted windows pulled up alongside them as they walked westbound on West Webster Avenue near the Roselle Park High School. The witnesses stated that five (5) shots were fired from the front seat passenger of the vehicle’s passenger-side window. The BMW appeared to be occupied by two (2) males according to the victims but no further description was provided.

The victims were reported to have suffered moderate pain and swelling. They were released to their respective responsible adults. No medical attention was sought.

The handgun was described as black with no visible red tip.

A search of the area did not turn up any significant findings.
