RPPD Gives Back To School Children

Yesterday, officers of the Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) presented school supplies to each elementary school as part of their first annual school supply drive.

The supplies included backpacks, pencils and papers and were donated to students whose families are currently in financial need.

Community Policing Officer Brian Swick, in thanking residents who donated supplies along with Roselle Park PBA, stated, “Through donations and collective generosity of our residents, businesses, and police we can help our students be successful in the upcoming year.”

Police Chief Paul Morrison added, “This is a great example of the police and the community working together to help fellow residents.”

The RPPD also thanked Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and Rita Pharmacy in allowing donation stations to be placed at their business locations in the borough.

Patrolman Greg Polakoski said, “Thank you all for helping make this event as successful as it was.”
