Yesterday, on January 31st, at approximately 2:23 p.m., Patrolman Alexander Lanza reportedly noticed a pedestrian – identified as Ronald Perry, age 43 of Roselle Park – walking along the sidewalk with a children’s bicycle in his possession. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Perry was not the lawful owner of the children’s bicycle and was unable to identify its true owner.
A second men’s adult bicycle was recovered at his residence. Mr. Perry was also unable to identify its rightful owner.
He was also later found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Mr. Perry was charged with Possession Of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. He was issued a summons and released pending a future court date.
The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) actively attempting to identify the owners of the bicycles and request that residents who may have had a bicycle stolen recently to contact Detective Richard Cocca at (908) 245-2300, extension 2204, with a description of their bicycle.
