Yesterday, January 27th, at approximately 1:10 in the afternoon, Roselle Park police responded to the 500 block of Locust Street (7-Eleven) on a report of a fight, involving a knife. The 9-1-1 caller advised that the individuals involved were attempting to flee the area in a 1995 Ford.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested Julio C. Flores, age 30 from Elizabeth, and Ernesto M. Mani, age 21 from Bound Brook, after reportedly learning that the two harassed and threatened to assault the complainant who is a 49-year-old male from Kenilworth.
No weapons were located on any of the individuals involved, according to police. Both Mr. Flores and Mr. Mani were charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. They were released on a summons with a court date.
