RPHS Locked Down Due To Social Media Post

The Roselle Park High School (RPHS) was locked down after students were evacuated from the building at 3:10 p.m. this afternoon, reportedly due to a posting made on social media.

RPHS Principal Sarah Costa notified high school parents via e-mail and text. Even though the regular school day was completed, clubs and activities were taking place in the school.

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) responded to the scene, took control of the building, and are in the process of conducting a safety check to confirm all is secure. More details will be provided as information is released.

All after-school activities are canceled today.

“We are acting proactively to insure [sic] the safety of all of our students,” stated Mrs. Costa in her correspondence to parents and guardians.
