RP Teen Arrested For Drug Paraphernalia After Failure To Stop

On November 2, 2011 at approximately 9:09 p.m., Sgt. Dominick Frino observed a white Pontiac fail to stop at the stop sign located at West Webster Avenue at Maplewood Avenue. In addition, the third brake light was not working.

A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of one (1) metal smoking pipe with residue made to look like a cigarette commonly known as a ‘one hitter’.

The driver, Johnathan Powers age 19 of Roselle Park, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia), 39:4-144 (failure to stop), and 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court hearing on November 10, 2011.
