Roselle Park resident Robert Mooney will be discussing filmmaking in the era of social media as a special presentation of tomorrow’s Roselle Park Short Film Festival.
Tomorrow, at 5 p.m. in the Casano Community Center, Mr. Mooney will be offering his insight on how filmmakers can learn how to apply their skills to the ever-evolving world of social media. Filmmakers and movie aficionados will be able to listen in and network with each other as part of the special presentation.
Robert is a brand strategies manager with BuzzFeed (link), the popular internet media and news company based in New York City that focuses on digital media. Although he is also a DJ and avid record collector, Robert will not be bringing his turntable to the discussion. He will, however, bring his knowledge and experience working with Tumblr, Google, and The Arcade Fire on helping them create shareable content and digital campaigns for their brands.
The film festival, as part of the Roselle Park Arts Festival, will be running from 1 p.m. till 9 o’clock at night.
The Casano Community Center is located at 314 Chestnut Street.
