On December 24th, at approximately 5:38 in the morning, Roselle Park Police responded to Faitoute Avenue at West Colfax Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Officers on the scene reported that a 57-year-old Roselle Park resident was struck while out for a jog by a vehicle.
The driver of the 1996 Chevy was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while unlicensed and the passenger, who is the registered owner of the vehicle, was issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle. No criminal charges were pressed at this time but the investigation is still ongoing.
