RP Resident Bitten By Dog

On August 11, 2011 at approximately 12 noon, Patrolman Richard Hernandez responded to the 400 block of Faitoute Avenue on a report of a man bitten by a dog. The victim/complainant stated he was walking his small dog on the 400 block of Faitoute Avenue when a large pit bull exited the front door of a residence and ran towards him. The victim stated he picked up his dog to protect it when the pit bull jumped and bit his right arm in the elbow area. Patrolman Hernandez observed teeth marks on the inner part of his right elbow.

The dog’s owner was identified and advised of the incident.

The dog was identified as a 2-year-old tan pit bull, weighing approx 91 lbs. The owner was able to provide a valid rabies tag and a valid Roselle Park dog license. The victim was advised of the municipal court complaint procedure.
