RP Loves ARTS! will have a color map available to visitors of today’s arts festival. The map covers major Chestnut Street activities from 2:30 p.m. till 9:30 in the evening.
Separated into eight (8) major sections, the layout covers the tree-lined street, the bandstand provided by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library, the Casano Community Center, the Community United Methodist Church (CUMC), Art & Soul Galleries, and the MAM Truck from the Montclair Art Museum.
Although not noted on the map, bathroom facilities for the event will be available at the library until 5 p.m. and for the length of the festival at the Casano Community Center.
Children’s events will highlight the afternoon with events such as:
- Kids’ Chalk Selfies
- Kids’ Drawing Class
- Kids’ Papier Mache
- Children’s Art Show
- Community Chalk Masterpiece
- Fire Hydrant Adoption Certificates
- Bike Decoration
- Make & Play Percussion
- Face Painting
- Kazoo Parade
All material will be provided with the exception of the bike decorating which will have children and families bringing their own bicycle – decorating material will be provided.
