Roselle Park defeated Whippany Park Friday night in a state consolation high school game with a score of 41-14. This breaks a string of 23 losses and marks the first win for the Panthers this season and their first since 2008.
Connor Gabriel lead the Park offense with 331 yards on the ground in 16 carries. He scored six (6) touchdowns, gaining over 1,000 yard for his career.
The defense was dominant, capturing 6 interceptions: Brendan Leary had three, Nick Longo had two, and Zack Fahoury had one. The defensive line also had three sacks.
