Leona M. Seufert, the Casano Community Art Gallery director, will be offering tours of exhibits in galleries located throughout Union County starting the middle of this month with a different gallery each month.
Ms. Seufert will be offering not only a tour of local galleries and exhibits but also provide background of the artists and their work. Some tours will provide an opportunity to attend receptions and meet the artists personally. The galleries on the tours range from independent exhibit-only spaces to public libraries to local business establishments that exhibit art secondary to framing and merchandise sales.
“Most exhibiting artists are well established, some nationally,” stated Ms. Seufert, adding, “Here is a chance to also discover emerging artists and their works! Styles range from realistic to abstract, done in mixed-media, oils, acrylics, and photography.”
The tours scheduled so far will be of galleries in Roselle Park, Union, Westfield, Cranford, Springfield, Summit, Rahway, Elizabeth, and Kenilworth. In particular, the following tours are available:
Tour 1:
The Les Malamut Art Gallery in Union Township and the Kenilworth Library Gallery (more information).
Tour 2:
The Casano Community Center Art Gallery and Art & Soul Galleries, both in Roselle Park.
