Roselle Park News and TAP Into Roselle Park will be hosting this year’s Roselle Park mayoral debate on Thursday, October 11th. The proper legal and financial responsibilities have been obtained by the newspapers and approved by the municipality. All three mayoral candidates – William Fahoury, Carl Hokanson, and Joseph Signorello III – have formally agreed to participate.
The free event is open to the public with a scheduled start time of 7 p.m. at the Roselle Park Municipal Complex. It is expected to last a little over two hours.
Those who residents who attend are asked to bring a canned good to donate to the food pantries in town.
The debate will be separated into four sections and consist of 12 primary questions from three panelists. The first will have each panelist ask one question to all candidates. The second part will have one panelist each ask one question to a specific candidate. After a brief break, questions which were accepted from those in attendance will be reviewed and three will be picked at random to ask the candidates. The last part will have the candidates sit and have each ask the others one question.
Time limits and rebuttals have been agreed upon by all participants.
There will be two co-moderators, three panelists, and one time-keeper.
Everyone is invited to attend this important engagement between residents and those wanting to represent the borough.
