Roselle Park Arts Festival Coming September 23rd

Roselle Park Arts Festival is returning on Saturday, September 23rd, from 1 p.m. till 9 o’clock at night along Chestnut Street.

Participants include local, regional, and international artists and performers.

Included in the day and evening will be Kean University Dance Theater, ZCO Dance Company, Fusion Dance Centre, and Planet Dance as well as other local dance studios, street artists creating their art live (Distort, Werds, Veer, Mr. Must Art, Mes), a student art exhibit at the Youth Center, and a juried Art Walk .

The art walk of visual artists that will also showcase handcrafted items from a variety of artisans, many of which will offer demonstrations as well as selling their work.

Interactive arts featuring the Montclair Art Museum (MAM) truck, chalk art, graffiti wall spray-painting, a painting corner, string art along with other hands-on activities will let visitors see, touch, and experience art firsthand.

Live performances – including music, dance, and live street art – will be bringing art to life throughout the day.

The Roselle Park Arts Short Film Festival will screen films from around the corner as well as around the world at two locations.

The event will conclude with an evening Jazz event.

An assortment of food and beverage vendors to celebrate the culinary arts.

The festival will take place rain or shine. Admission is free.

The Roselle Park Arts Festival is made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.  Event sponsors include the Borough of Roselle Park, Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Kean University, Roselle Park 24/7 and TAP Into Roselle Park.  The event is coordinated by Roselle Park Loves ARTS! With the support of the Roselle Park Arts Council.
