UPDATE (11/14/2014 @ 10:30 a.m.): Mr. Karlowicz has been found and reunited with family.
Last Monday, November 3rd, the Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) had a missing persons report filed on Stephen D. Karlowicz, age 57, by a family member.
Mr. Karlowicz, a resident of Roselle Park, was reportedly last seen by family members the previous Monday, October 27th, wearing tan pants, a short sleeve shirt, white sneakers, a black ¾ length wool trench coat, and carrying a leather briefcase. It was reported that Mr. Karlowicz is known to gamble at various destinations including Atlantic City, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut casinos.
On Saturday, November 8th, RPPD received a tip that a male fitting Mr. Karlowicz’s description was observed walking in Manhattan in the area of 34th Street and 7th Avenue. It is unconfirmed if the male was actually Mr. Karlowicz as no contact was made. The Port Authority Police Department, Transit Police Department, and New York City Police Department (Mid-Town South Precinct) were notified and provided pertinent information.
As of this morning, no contact has been made with Mr. Karlowicz.
